AFRICAN AND AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES 3000

Student works on research activities, a project, or specialized training in Black Studies under the supervision or direction of an AFAS professor outside of a classroom for an approved learning experience. This designation should constitute rigor and knowledge gained consistent with other 3000-level courses in the Department. Students must enroll in a specific section with a faculty member and receive approval from the instructor and department chair or DUS prior to registering. May be taken for 1 to 3 credit hours, depending on the amount of time dedicated to the project. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor.
