AFRICAN AND AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES 3000

Students works on research activities, a project, or specialized training in Black Studies under the supervision or direction of an AFAS professor outside of a classroom for an "approved learning experience." Approval of an instructor and the chair of the department is required. This designation should constitute rigor and knowledge gained consistent with other 300-level courses in the Department. May be taken for 1-3 credit hours, depending on the number of hours committed per week.
