Portrait Unveiling of Dr. Robert L. Williams

The Department of African & African American Studies honors founding director, Dr. Robert L. Williams, with the unveiling of commissioned portrait.

The Department of African & African American Studies, with the support of  Washington University in St. Louis' School of Arts & Sciences, has commissioned Professor Jamie Adams to paint a posthumous portrait of the founding director of Black Studies, Professor Robert L. Williams. This event will primarily be held virtually with a small, in person gathering held on campus which guests will include members of Dr. Williams family and selected members of the WashU community.
