Now a Washington University senior majoring in African and African American Studies and minoring in Legal Studies, Briggs notes the importance of support she has received through the Strive for College Program.
Congratulations to Stephanie Briggs on her 2019 Alumni Award from City Academy. Stephanie attributes much of her success to support she received through the Strive for College, a program founded by a Washington University in St. Louis alum, and launched as a startup here in 2007. Briggs continues to serve as a Strive mentor and explains, "My involvement in Strive was not just about giving back to City Academy, it was about giving back to Saint Louis, and creating a new narrative for kids from the urban core."
